TransParent meets on the 1st Thursday of the Month.

Purpose: To provide support, information and resources to help parents, caregivers and adult family members confidently navigate their gender independent child’s personal journey of self-discovery to authentic living. These meetings are for parents of trans* children of any age (we have parents who have adult trans* children down to parents with children as young as 5 attend these meetings). Our meetings provide parents, caregivers and adult family members the opportunity to connect in a safe and confidential environment so that they may deepen their understanding through the shared experiences of other transforming families.

These meetings are for parents of Trans* children of any age (we have parents who have adult trans* children down to parents with children as young as 5 attend these meetings. Our meetings provide parents, caregivers and adult family members the opportunity to connect in a safe and confidential environment so that they may deepen their understanding through the shared experiences of other transforming families.

Gender Independent Kids Club is for children ages 5-11 and teens 12-15. This is all about the kids connecting, making friends, being themselves and having fun in a super supportive and accepting environment. The evening is filled with fun activities - pizza parties, arts & crafts, dress up, games, books and a dance-offs! While the group is be led by two therapists, it does NOT provide therapeutic care.

Important details:
The Kids Club will meet on the same night/same time as the parent support group - how convenient! Rachael Juehring, a psychologist at St. Louis Children's Hospital who serves children and families seen by the Division of Endocrinology AND Kelly Storck, a private practice therapist, who is experienced and well-versed in the area of gender identity will lead this group.
